If you want to make more money from your website you must have a content marketing plan. Learn why you should publish amazing content on a consistent basis to get more leads from your website.

Every online marketer out there wants their blog to be epic. The type of content that gets shared like there is no tomorrow and is one that will bring in a ton of income. It’s not a crime to want to become the only authority in the niche you belong to.

But, writing so called “epic blogs are not always easy. You may have to give it a shot multiple times before actually hitting the mark. Many writers want to understand what they are doing wrong in such scenarios. The truth is that there is no option that works for everyone.

It will take a lot of trial and error and not to mention, patience for you to get there. But when you get there, it will be worth it because your content will have become viral, just as you hoped it would be. And that is a fantastic feeling!

The trick is to come up with content that people find very difficult to forget. People are so taken with your outlook and ideas that they can’t help but nod in agreement. This blog can become your golden goose that brings you all your revenue.

People are tired of the number of the content they see on a daily basis. Written form, especially, takes a bit more effort and time to get digested as compared to a video. There are many brands out there that are constantly putting out content.

You should think about what separates you from the others. What is it that you can offer that is unique and can be appreciated by the viewer? What is different about your blog post? When you find the answer to this, you are well on your way to hitting the jackpot!

Some things that might get you closer to writing your epic blog post

People have a certain perception towards lengthy content. It is believed to be more informative and, in some cases, even more authentic than shorter passages on the same topic. The fact that the writer took the pain to elaborate on a certain topic to make it more informative to readers is usually appreciated.
Some research surrounding these claims has gone to show that long post as mentioned above usually perform quite well. They get shared and are liked more often. Search engines also have a soft-corner for longer content.    Another factor that adds to the lengthy angle is that such posts take more time to be written. A writer has to be more detailed and that will bring you more traffic. SEOs like Google pay a bit more attention to lengthier content. Make it longer and you will be rewarded.

Relevancy and timelessness

Know what your blog is about. What issue or what niche are you catering to. A lot of how your blog performs has to do with how well you are sticking by your guns and staying true to what you know best.   Make sure the topic is clear. Make the content rich in value and informative to anyone who reads your blog. Because if your content is all over the place, not only will your audience be confused, so will search engines. Your content might just not show up when searched for, as a result.   If your content is that good, it will never go out of style. Somewhere, someone will read and share it even if it has been years since it was first published. People might try writing some more around the content, thereby keeping it alive forever. Epic content is like that. It lives on, long after the writer has gone too. So, make the topic of your content something that will be a problem or a relevant topic now and also in the future.   If you are looking to come in and make a high impact for a short while and disappear, then you don’t have to be concerned about the evergreen value of your blog. If your content is around happening topics and current events, then it may be epic, but only for a short while.   If you can keep coming up with short-lived but epic content like that, you will be fine because each piece drives traffic to your site and that means revenue.

Attention-grabbing and share-worthy content

Make sure that all your posts are sharable. Have buttons on your blog that allows for people to share their content on whichever platform they may please. Apart from the literal sharable context, the post needs to be share-worthy too,   People need to feel compelled to share the content they read simply because it is just so good. That’s how you really go viral today. You need to be able to bring that desire in your audience.   This can be done if you’ve really hit the epic mark. This happens when you have added everything there is to know around that topic that the reader need not look anywhere else for information. No piece of information should be redundant, everything needs to add value.   It does not matter if you have to resort to controversial topics to draw the attention of users. It’s alright, a lot of people do it. But you need to do it right. You need to bring out an angle that has not been shared before.   Something that will draw people’s attention and will keep them engrossed in your blog from start to finish. Hard facts can help you substantiate your views, but only use them as long as they are from credible sources.   As much as people might argue it, readers love being disproved or their belief being debunked. This is a great way to get many viewers, but as long as you are keeping it honest and backing things with hard facts.   Now, it is important to keep in mind that while wanting to write something epic is fine, choosing the path of misinformation is wrong. You must not fudge factors or misrepresent them simply because they suit your story. It could hurt your reputation and usually never ends well.   Epic blogs are not epic because of their grandeur, but are epic because of the substance they hold. Its performance depends highly on how much research was put in to write it and how detail oriented it turns out to be.   Use pictures. They are worth a thousand words, it’s true. Do what you can to sensibly spice up your content. Adding pictures that compliment your blog’s written content is a great way to keep your viewer’s attention on you .

Ideas for your epic blog

Ideas can come from anywhere. Keep your eyes and ears open and you just might come across your next inspiration in the place you were not even looking. But if you had to choose from things that have already seem to be working, you could give these a go.   People appreciate a good how-to or a tutorial-based content. Everyone could use some help with things that seem to be universal concerns. By identifying those issues, you can start coming up with content.
Another thing that is popular is hearing the voice of the people through testimonials and case studies. This is a good way to connect with audience with content that seems a bit more real.   Expert advises is also sought after. This can be on any topic in the world. People trust the word of experts and if you can get a legitimate expert in the field you are tackling to be a guest-author on your blog, nothing like it! FAQs are helpful too. You can do some research on understanding popular concerns among people or your niche in particular and try to address those questions. People are often grateful for information that can help them better their lives.
