Getting more clients is the most important aspect of any business. Whether you are in finance or running a restaurant, if you can't generate more clients then your business is going to fail. Having a digital presence is very important in this age and it should be the center point of your marketing strategy. And for that, you need to know how to effectively position yourself on search engines like Google. This is typically a three-stage process and it has been explained as follows:

Attract Website Customers

The first stage is to "Attract", which is mainly focused on Search Engine Optimization (SEO). SEO works mainly by careful selection of keywords. The process works by first selecting keywords with high search index on search engines and for this purpose, you can use the Google analytics tool. Then you need to carefully embed these keywords throughout your content.

SEO is mainly done in two steps. The on-page SEO involves optimizing Meta description, title, and interlinking. While off page SEO involves reviewing and optimizing the backlinks. Backlinks are basically the incoming links to any webpage. When a webpage is linked to another webpage then this is called a backlink. Backlinks are very important as they have been the conventional metric of website ranking.

Convert Google Leads

The next stage is to "Convert" which mainly focuses on maximization of the conversion rate. This is mainly done by Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) techniques. In this regard content is the most integral component. You should add engaging and interactive content on your website. Typical examples include blogs , monthly newsletters, and eBooks.

Another effective way to improve CRO is to have a user-friendly website design. Your website should have an appropriate loading speed and easy to use features. The more convenient the website design the higher will be the CRO.

You can also do CRO by asking for customer feedback. You can do this by using email APIs. The reviews provided by the customers can greatly help you with CRO and improving your ratings. Assigning agents for conversing with visitors on your website is an effective way of doing CRO.

If you lack the human resource then you can deploy messenger bots for this purpose as well. These bots pop up chat windows as visitors navigate through your website and allow them to seek help if they have any queries.

Email marketing is also a way of doing CRO. This can be effectively used for re-engaging with potentials leads and running future marketing campaigns.

Close Website Sales

The last stage is to "Close" which mainly focuses on closing the attracted leads for generating revenue. This works by reducing the lead response time. For this purpose, you can assign your sales representatives to follow up the progress with the potential leads. The problem with this is the ineffective distribution of leads between sales representatives.

You can solve this by using lead rotation workflow. This allows for an equal distribution of leads among the sales representatives. Hence the response time is significantly reduced and you can prioritize leads based on target demographics. You can then deploy the lead nurturing workflow. It sends out relevant information to the potential leads over a set period of time.

This includes pricing calculators, help articles, and guides. For efficient prioritization of leads, you can use the lead scoring tool. This allows the sales representatives to focus on leads with a higher conversion rate. This will improve their chances of being converted into customers.

Consistent Website Updates

We've experienced the best results by adding new content to our website on a weekly basis. Google seems to like your website to get updated consistently. Use blogs, testimonials, and new service pages to continue updating your website on a weekly basis.

Each time your website gets updated, make sure you go to the Google Indexing to let them know you've created a new page. This is like "waving" at Google letting them know you're updating your website with good quality content.

Remember, the more quality pages your website has the better performance you'll receive from the search engines. Quick tip, make sure every page on your website has over 500 words to get a good ranking.

Plan a content planner in your calendar to make sure you never miss a week. If you can schedule 30-60 minutes a week dedicated to your website you'll start seeing results soon then later.

Be patient and consistent, it's easy to give up after a couple weeks but I want you to think about the long term results. If you have a website that is ranking high on search engines you'll never have to pay for ads again!
