The ultimate goal online is to have a business someone types into Google to find when they’re ready to hire you. If you sell products, or common services consumers will most likely be going into Google and searching for the exact words you offer. If you show up for those keywords that customer is more likely to buy from you. But if you have a business people wouldn’t necessarily go out and search for you would need to brand your business online. Your ultimate goal is to use your brand to influence people that they need or want your offering. Assuming most of your ideal audience doesn’t even know they need your services it will be your job to educate, build relationships and show up on a consistent basis.
The first one is the service and product that people are searching for. You're lucky if that's what you offer our people going into Google and looking for your business. If they are, then you can start growing on the search engines and start showing up for when people actually search for you and then they'll more likely to hire it and buy it from you.
Number two is going to be a product or e-commerce. Are people going to Google, Amazon and Facebook looking for your product? If so, then you want to start showing up on the Google shop page, the Amazon page, the Facebook and Instagram shop pages. This is also good cause you can do SEO and stuff ranking for those products.
Last but not least is the brand. People may not even be searching for your service. They might not even know that they need you or need a service that you offer is that you?
If it is, you have to start building up your brain, social media, email lists, getting your name out there, creating relationships and most importantly educating your potential leads. That way they know and they find out from you that they do need your service and that your service will help them.
You can use a service like Ubersuggest
to see how many people are actually searching for what you offer. If you're getting a ton of searches, that means start doing blogs, podcasts, and content that will start helping you rank on the search engines.
If you're e-commerce and people are searching for your products, get listed on Facebook, Instagram, and Amazon shop pages, so when they search for that product, you show up, you have the five stars and they're more likely to buy from you.
If you're a brand, start building your brand by education. People don't know that they need your product, people don't know that your service will help them. That's your goal! Go out there and start branding yourself, teaching people that they do need your service, that it would benefit them if they used you and why? Why would it benefit that? Use this to really build up their brand.
Build an email list, build a Facebook messenger list so you can continue building relationships with those people when they're ready to hire you. When they finally figure it out that they want your service, that they need your service, then you're the one that they're going to call. You're the one that they're going to email back and they're going to hire you because you are the one that educated them in the first place. Help them get aware that you are going to be able to solve their problems and now they're going to come back to you guys.
