They're going to read your blog post that you spent so much time working on, they're going to leave and they'll never remember you.


    When they do want to hire someone like you, they're just going to look at whoever's at the top of their inbox, whoever's ad is at the top of their social media feed, or whoever they learned from the most.


    The Complete Follow-Up System That Actually Works:

    Step 1: Track Your Visitors

    You can't follow up with people if you don't have tracking and pixels set up. You need to know how many visitors are hitting your site, how many people are hitting your CRM and how many people are not, how many leads you're getting versus how many people are hitting your site and just leaving.

    Step 2: Create Helpful Educational Content

    Create a YouTube video every single week that then generates all of your other content. If your new lead just sees you selling and making generic, stupid, boring old people social media posts, they don't care. They're not going to sign up with you. They're just going to go to the next brand.


    But if you're creating pillar pieces of educational, helpful content and they learn from you, they're more likely to become a customer.

    Step 3: Train AI to Talk and Act Like You

    Upload your YouTube videos and it starts learning what you say, the words you say, how you say it, your dry sense of humor, and then it can create helpful content based on what you're teaching. If you're not comfortable getting on camera, speak into audio and record your voice and upload that transcription.

    Step 4: Follow Up with Personal Style Emails

    Write your emails by speaking into your phone. Say "Hey [name], thanks so much for joining my email list. I appreciate you. Let me know more about your business. Let's connect more on LinkedIn."


    The main goal when you're following up and building relationships with your ideal customers is to ask them questions about them, not tell them about you because they don't care about you yet. If they do respond to that email, you're more likely to stay in their inbox.

    Step 5: Connect Across Multiple Platforms

    Now they've seen maybe your video, they joined your newsletter, they read your blog, they saw your Twitter post. Get them to connect on LinkedIn so they start seeing your LinkedIn posts. You want to show up in their email consistently, show up in their LinkedIn profile, and wherever you're most active.


    How To Use Automation To Follow Up With Leads

    Step 6: Set Up Automated Follow-Up Sequences

    Add them to automation that keeps you top of mind so you don't need to post every single day. Email them every other day, and after you email them about five times where it's all about building that relationship and getting them to connect with you on other channels, add them to the newsletter so you can continue staying top of mind.

    I had somebody actually become a client of mine 12 months after joining my newsletter and when I went back and looked, they opened every single one of those. They just weren't ready yet.

    Step 7: Run Low-Cost Retargeting Ads

    Set up really low cost retargeting ads to anyone that hits the site. We don't need more people, we need to follow up with the people we already have. Show them X ads, YouTube ads, and retarget them with your best LinkedIn posts. More education, more value.


    You really only need to start with three platforms, but as your brand grows, follow up with them on every single platform. Make sure you're showing up on Google, YouTube, LinkedIn, Facebook, TikTok, everywhere.


    You really don't need to spend much. Start spending 25 bucks a day - about $1,000 a month if you can. That's going to close you more deals, get you more sales and get you more customers.


    How To Grow Your Brand Online:

    You're not going to grow your business if your leads don't remember you.


    The goal is to provide educational content, create blog posts, YouTube videos, get them to follow you on your most active social media channels, send them automated emails as soon as they opt in to build relationships, and then start running retargeting ads on your favorite channels.
